The Petty Home, a turn-of-the-century Queen Anne, is being fully restored by Miles Honeycutt. Miles is the same general contracter who oversaw restoration of the Clapp-Ferguson home and Winston's Broken House, both in the Cleveland-Holloway neighborhood. Miles is restoring the home in keeping with historic elements of the original house to a single family dwelling. Check back often and watch this great home come back to life.

Granite, fans, electric, etc., etc.

As always, things are happening quickly over at the house. No time for witty banter today kids. Just the photos.

Siding has now been completed, covering the gaps left while the copper flashings were installed.

Yay granite!

The sink looks deceptively serene beneath the granite. Make no mistake...this guy was a heavy-weight beast. The granite finishing at Aspen Tops looks great. The kitchen is still, and probably always will be, my favorite room.

Side counter now with granite top.

Brent of B. Smith Electrical has been super busy getting all the finishing electrical stuff done - installing switches, lights, fans, etc. We'll be back in touch with him in a few weeks to install speakers for the house. For now Miles and his subcontractors are focusing on getting the stuff done that is required for finishing.

Interior door nobs. Same oiled bronze finish as the exterior doors.

I don't think there's been a good photo of the master bedroom paint colors yet. So here it is.

This wall in the master bedroom has been redone and is looking a lot better. Thanks Miles for stepping up yet again.

Fans are up. Aged bronze in the office and living room and white in the bedrooms.

Living room.

2nd bedroom.

The shelving is all up in the closets.

The tiles is also up in the hall bathroom.
